Cheese Board Checklist
No two cheese boards of mine are ever the same, but I usually gravitate toward similar ingredients! This is the checklist I like to go through when I’m preparing to build a cheese board:
Board
I usually use a wooden tray or cutting board, but feel free to use any board, tray, or plate you have and adjust the amount of ingredients as needed! I also like to add in some small containers and ramekins to break up the smaller items.
Cheese (I like to pick 3 with different textures)
Brie
Goat cheese
Parmesan
Champagne cheddar
Jarlsberg
Gouda
Cheddar
Gruyere
Manchego
Blue cheese
Charcuterie (variety of 2-3)
Prosciutto
Salami
Soppressata
Chorizo
Crackers (variety of 2-3)
Plain salted crackers
Crackers with some character - I love Raisin Rosemary Crisps from Trader Joe’s
Bread sticks
Toasted baguette
Spreads (optional)
Honey
Jams
I like to make a honey goat cheese spread If I’m not including goat cheese on my platter on its own! To make, combine goat cheese and honey to your taste and mash together in a ramekin!
Fun Additions (optional)
Nuts - I love using marcona almonds or candied walnuts
Cornichons
Olives
Roasted red peppers
Grapes, strawberries, other fruit
Dried fruit
Rosemary sprigs for garnishing, especially around the holidays!
