Simple Pasta with Oil and Garlic

Ingredients

  • Pasta of your choice

  • Broccoli

  • Olive oil

  • Garlic

  • Salt and pepper

  • Lemon pepper

  • Basil

  • Parsley

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Feel free to add chicken or shrimp to this recipe!

Directions

When I make pasta, I completely make it to taste (I don’t time or measure anything)

  1. Boil a pot of water with olive oil and salt

  2. Reduce heat to medium/high and add pasta and cook until al dente (I don’t time it, you can tell when it’s almost done when the pasta enlarges, and I taste it before removing from heat)

  3. Strain pasta and put to the side

  4. Reduce heat to low and add olive oil to the same pot used for the pasta or a new pan

  5. Add garlic and sauté until it starts to brown (if you are adding chicken or shrimp, this is the time to add it to the pot or pan)

  6. Add broccoli and season with salt and pepper

  7. Add pasta and mix well

  8. Add more olive oil, as well as salt, lemon pepper, and basil

  9. Plate the pasta, and sprinkle parsley and grate parmesan cheese
